If you haven't been clued in by the titles it's a vampire series. The first one I didn't especially like, but I loved the second and the third is just as good. I just finished it tonight and I started it last night. (I should have been sleeping since I had to go to work early Saturday, but when a good book calls who am I to resist it?)
It's totally different from the Dark Hunter series, it is actually pretty unique by itself. You don't have to read the first book in the series to get what is going on in the third. Each of the stories is pretty much stand alone. There are some reoccurring characters, and in this one there are some references to the other stories, but nothing major. However, they do introduce characters that I would love to see future stories about. I can see this series going on for a long time.
The development in the beginning isn't really there. It jumps about six months in time, missing the beginning phases of their relationship (which is my favorite part in a love story). Other than that I was real happy with the story, and I can't wait to see what will happen with this series in the future.
I'd give it 3 out of 4 stars.
